About this listen

Two men the military insists are adults attempt to convince each other they're each right while generally misinterpreting statistics, history and society while learning the value of friendship and poorly monetizing their hot takes along the way.

Listen to it while pooping, driving, trying to sleep, or trying to learn the slightest bit more about the world.

  • We're Too Dumb To Invent Anything Useful
    Feb 24 2025

    Send us a text

Gabriel and Reid attempt to fight the inherent inverse-relationship between "it's really useful" and "I have an understanding of how to make it", and converse about what they'd attempt to bring into the 18th century. Gabriel remembers that means it's between 1700-1799, so there's progress. The team figures out, barely, how long the episode is, which really hurts the credibility that they'd be able to actually invent anything.

  • When Chad Union Beat Virgin South
    Feb 15 2025

    Send us a text

When Chad Union beat Virgin South in 1865, the losing team was left without their primary means of economic viability (the one involving owning humans to produce capital). Gabriel argues that the Rebels forfeited their right to be subsidized; Reid says "nu-uh" in various ways that are wrong and dumb but based on facts Gabriel didn't and doesn't remember.

Pick up your musket, entrench yourself in a cloak of a "it's not racist because times were different" mentality as we argue economics and morality or whatever.

  • That Time When George Washington Nuked London
    Feb 7 2025

If you've ever found yourself thinking "Great men are capable of such wonderful things if only they had better technology, like when George Washington would have nuked London to end the Revolution War", this ep's for you. It's also for you if it's not. Apparently Reid disagrees for some reason, but just as Washington lacked the tech to achieve his dream, Reid also lacks the technology to edit Episode Descriptions.
