We see the X-Men battle Magneto inside a volcano base, Magneto gets his ultimate revenge and reduces their capabilities to that of a baby, and the X-Men eventually escape — but accidentally cause the eruption of the volcano. Jean and Beast get split from the rest of the team and both sides presume that the others are dead. Cyclops and the rest of the squad end up in the Savage Land where they're attacked by Sauron.
