 Randy Weston, l’un des plus grands pianistes de Jazz reprend l'œuvre d’un autre maître Duke Ellington sur ce disque sorti en 1989 qui rend hommage au côté le plus afro du pianiste. L’occasion d’écouter cette sublime reprise de “Caravan” par Duke Ellington, entouré du batteur Idris Muhammad et du percussionniste ghanéen Eric Asente. Ensemble, ils rendent hommage à ce standard du Duke. Un titre qui rappelle aux musiciens les caravanes qui traversaient le Sahara du Sud au Nord.
