  • CANES CRUMBLE IN DALLAS - EPISODE 289
    Nov 3 2025

We're going to need a stiff drink, folks. The No. 10 Miami Hurricanes went to Dallas for their first out-of-state game of the season. It delivered a performance so sloppy, so gut-wrenchingly undisciplined, that it felt like a time warp back to the dark ages of The U. The final score: SMU 26, Miami 20 (OT), but the real damage was done by the Hurricanes themselves.Join us as we examine the harsh reality of this overtime collapse. We talk about the 12 penalties for 96 yards—including the baffling Unnecessary Roughness call on a player who hit the QB *after* a timeout was called, which gifted SMU a crucial first down to tie the game in regulation. You literally can't make this stuff up!Stat Sheet Shame:Carson Beck's Interceptions: Two costly picks, including the back-breaker in overtime just short of the goal line by Ahmaad Moses. Beck finished with 274 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. Ouch. The Run Game Mismatch: The Hurricanes ran for 159 yards on 40 attempts, while the much-maligned SMU run game was held to a pitiful 23 net yards** (including their OT possession). And yet, Miami still lost.Final Drive Fail: We're still questioning the end-of-regulation decision to kneel with 25 seconds left and a timeout. Was the loss sealed by the players' lack of composure or the head coach's baffling clock management? We get witty, we get angry, and most importantly, we get real about what this devastating loss means for the team's playoff and ACC title hopes. This wasn't a loss of talent; it was a loss of control. It's time for some soul-searching in Coral Gables.---Don't miss the fire! Hit subscribe and find out why this loss proves "The U" is still its own worst enemy.#UHeard #ItsAllAboutTheU #MiamiHurricanes #SMUvsMIA #CollegeFootball #CFB #DisciplineEqualsWinning #FireUpTheTakeFactory
