About this listen
Listen as we interview Troy Douglas, owner of Ball Was Life & Cultural Blends sneaker consignments store. We will discuss his journey from sports to entrepreneurship and the challenges he faced along the way.
To be successful, you need to understand the cultures of your target audience and how to blend your brand into those cultures. Brand building is not a one-day practice. It’s a continuous process that involves many steps. It’s also not just about creating a logo or a slogan that will catch consumers' attention but also about how your brand sounds, feels, operates, and represents the cultures of the people you serve. Doing business with open arms and building bridges to blend different cultures creates cultural bonds, brings people together, and expands your market penetration.
Join the conversation with Troy Douglas as he shares his entrepreneurship journey and how he was able to build two successful brands from scratch. He also shares how he was able to get support and grants for entrepreneurs to provide you with tools that can help you build a successful brand. Troy is the owner and operator of Cultural Blends and Ball Was Life, now Back To The Basket. Troy is a basketball player, and he comes from a mixed ethnic background, which inspired the names of his first brand. He started doing business when he was 22 and went to college and has been on the entrepreneurship route for 10 years now.
