  • #322 - Paige's Perspective: Regulating Your Nervous System
    May 15 2026

Have an episode suggestion? Text us!

In this episode of Paige’s Perspective, we’re breaking down what it really means to regulate your nervous system and why practices like mindfulness and deep breathing won’t cut it if you’re still stuck in toxic situations. Paige explores how your environment and relationships shape your stress response, why temporary fixes can only take you so far, and the real changes you need to make to feel safe and stable.

There’s a big difference between tools that help in the moment and the kind of change that actually creates lasting relief. If your life still feels chaotic, unsafe, or emotionally draining, no amount of quick fixes will fully settle your system.

If you’ve ever wondered why you’re still on edge no matter how many yoga classes you’ve taken, this episode is your wake-up call to stop chasing regulation and start creating the kind of life your nervous system can actually relax in.

  • #321 - Anger Part 3: The Anger You Feel After You’ve Left the Relationship
    May 6 2026

Have an episode suggestion? Text us!

In Part 3 of our anger series, we talk about the kind of anger that shows up after the relationship ends, when there’s more space, more clarity, and for a lot of people, a brutal realization of what you actually lived through. This is the anger that confuses you because you wanted peace. You thought leaving would automatically bring closure. But instead, your mind starts connecting dots: the patterns, the lies, the lost time, the double standard, the aftermath, and the ways you had to shrink yourself just to survive.

We break down what’s happening neurologically and emotionally, why anger often comes later, and why it’s not a sign you’re stuck or doing it wrong. We also talk about the accountability trap, what happens when there’s no real justice, no apology, no repair, and how your healing can’t depend on the person who harmed you suddenly becoming self-aware.

This episode is about turning anger into something useful: truth, values, boundaries, and meaning, so it doesn’t own the next chapter of your life.

If you’ve left and thought, “Why am I still feeling this?” this one’s for you.

  • #320 - Nobody Warns You About This Part of Recovery - Mindset Monday
    May 4 2026

Have an episode suggestion? Text us!

In this Mindset Monday, I’m answering a handful of listener questions that all point to the same thing.

You can be doing everything right and still feel off.

We talk about the loneliness that shows up not just during addiction, but during recovery too. Being home with the kids while your partner is in meetings, rebuilding, doing what they need to do. You’re proud of them. You wanted this. But it still feels lonely and no one really prepares you for that.

I also get into something personal. Chronic pain and staying sober. What it looks like to deal with real physical pain without going back to the thing that used to fix it. This one matters because a lot of people are dealing with both at the same time.

We talk about uncertainty and how this life comes with more of it than most people can tolerate. You don’t get guarantees. You don’t get to know how it’s going to turn out. At some point you have to decide if you can live like that or not.

We get into time and energy too. How much of your day is going to conversations that go nowhere, overthinking, waiting, hoping. And how much is actually going toward building your life.

We talk about communication, but not the fluffy version. What actually helps and what just keeps you stuck in the same loop.

And then we finish with something a lot of people feel but don’t say out loud.

Is it fair to be frustrated when someone stops doing what they know keeps them sober?

    Short answer. Yes.

But what you do with that frustration matters more than the feeling itself.

This episode is real. No fluff. Just the stuff you’re actually dealing with when you’re in it.

If you’ve ever thought, this is what I wanted so why does it still feel like this, this one’s for you.
