◊ During the thunderstorm—the Voice of the LORD’s glory

over Lebanon’s cedars (vv. 3-5)

▪ from Lebanon’s cedars in the North southward over Mount

Hermon in Israel (v. 6)

▪ from Mount Hermon in Israel southward into the Kadesh

desert (“barren,” vv. 7-8) and treed oasis (“mighty oaks,” v. 9)

◊ After the thunderstorm—the Reign of the LORD’S glory

▪ is sovereign (“rules over,” vv. 10a, 11)

▪ is eternal (“reigns…forever,” v. 10b)

▪ supplies “strength” (v. 11a)

▪ supplies peace (shalom, v. 11b)
