About this listen

In this episode we are immersed in the arts workshops for the young people. The arts activities during the event provide the chance for the young people to express themselves, connect across the many language barriers, and have fun. It's also an alternative way to document the extraordinary goings on at the street child cricket world cup. We take you into the sessions with visiting local artists, teaching the young people South Indian drumming, dance, singing and print making. You will also meet some of the professional artists who are volunteering as part of the arts team at the event. The Sounds of Street Child United is a daily podcast that takes you into the heart of our special events. The Street Child Cricket World Cup takes place 23rd - 30th of September 2023 in Chennai, India. Street Child United is a charity that uses the power of sport to provide a global platform for street connected children, so they can demand the protection, support, and opportunities every child needs.
