  • Illusions: Breaking Free from the Enemy's Deception

Have you ever felt paralyzed by fear, convinced that your struggles were too overwhelming to overcome? You're not alone. The enemy thrives on deception, making mountains out of molehills and causing believers to doubt both their God-given authority and His unchanging truth.

Drawing from personal experience with debilitating anxiety and panic attacks, I share how God revealed that what I was battling weren't insurmountable obstacles but carefully crafted illusions. "Everything is not what it seems," God whispered to me during my darkest moment. This revelation transformed my understanding of spiritual warfare and broke the cycle of fear that had controlled me for so long.

The heart of our struggle often lies in a disconnect between what we know about God's love and what we truly believe about it. As 1 John 4:18 reminds us, "Perfect love casts out fear." When we allow our minds to be clouded by the enemy's loud, chaotic voice, we miss God's gentle whisper of truth—just as Elijah discovered that God wasn't in the earthquake or fire, but in the still, small voice.

This episode exposes three common illusions the enemy uses to keep believers trapped: the belief that your situation is bigger than you, the feeling of being completely alone, and the conviction that things will never change. Each illusion is systematically dismantled with biblical truth that reestablishes your authority in Christ.

Ready to break free? Arm yourself with God's Word, cultivate daily intimacy with Jesus, stay spiritually fed, and—perhaps most surprisingly—lean into authentic community. The enemy wants you isolated, but as Ecclesiastes reminds us, two are better than one. Your breakthrough may come through the encouragement, prayers, and truth spoken by fellow believers who refuse to let you give up.

You are not powerless. The enemy is not stronger than you. You are stronger than you think—not because of who you are, but because of who lives inside you. Take back your authority today.

  • Forever 17: Honoring Grief, Holding On, and Moving Forward
    May 6 2025

Have you ever felt completely alone in your grief, like no one could possibly understand the pain you're carrying? That's exactly where I found myself eight years ago when I lost my childhood best friend on the day of my senior prom.

Grief isn't just about losing people—it's about losing stability, normalcy, and moments we can never get back. In this deeply personal episode, I'm opening up about my journey through loss and the profound loneliness that often accompanies grief. I share how I discovered that the silence following loss can sometimes feel louder than the grief itself, especially when you don't feel safe expressing your pain.

Many of us walk through grief feeling like we need to hide our emotions or "get over it" quickly. We worry that moving forward means forgetting those we've lost—a betrayal we can't bear. But what I've learned, and what I want to share with you, is that God isn't afraid of your messy, unfiltered grief. You can trust Him deeply while still feeling the ache of what you've lost. Your tears don't cancel your faith, and your questions don't diminish your trust. Moving forward doesn't mean forgetting—it means carrying those we've lost with us in the way we choose to live.

Whether you're currently navigating loss or supporting someone who is, this episode offers a tender reminder that grief and faith aren't enemies—they can coexist in the same heart. You don't have to perform in your grief or rush your healing. To everyone who has ever felt unseen in their pain: I see you, God sees you, and your grief matters.

  • Drop The Dead Weight
    Apr 30 2025

Ever feel like you're running a marathon with weights strapped to your ankles? That's exactly what carrying spiritual dead weight does to your purpose and calling.

After experiencing a challenging season of health struggles, engagement, and spiritual recalibration, I discovered something profound: God was using these trials to expose the things I'd been carrying that He never asked me to bear. My old thinking patterns, fear responses, and performance-driven mindset were preventing God from pouring new wine into my life.

As Hebrews 12:1 instructs, we must "throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles." Notice the distinction – not all weight is sin, but anything slowing you down is a burden. Dead weight isn't just a distraction; it's anything in your life that no longer carries life. It might look like comfort, but it's actually bondage – time-wasters, unhealed wounds, fear, toxic relationships, comfort zones, religious mindsets, or outdated identities.

Unlike "living weight" that builds spiritual muscle (like God-ordained responsibilities or trials that produce perseverance), dead weight drains without purpose. And here's the challenging truth: God won't rip it from your hands. You must choose to drop it yourself.

Throughout scripture, we see examples of people held back by looking backward – Lot's wife destroyed by looking back, the Israelites mentally enslaved to Egypt long after physical freedom. The pattern is clear: looking back will always cost you something forward.

Ready to run unburdened? The journey begins with recognizing what's holding you back, making the choice to surrender it, renewing your mind with truth, taking action to physically remove it, and surrounding yourself with encouragement. When the process feels overwhelming, fix your eyes on Jesus – the one who carried the heaviest burden of all.

What dead weight have you been carrying that's time to finally release? Remember, your new declaration can be: "I will not carry what God never told me to carry." Share your journey with me – I'd love to hear your testimony or pray with you as you find freedom in running without unnecessary weight.
