Jesus bids us to 'Come and see'. My challenge to you is 'Step into the Waterfall' and you WILL meet with Jesus and walk with Him. Give Him the chance to guide you deeper into His truths and His ways.

SERIES 5. THE WATERFALL JOURNEY Chapter 6: Have you heard from God?

Did you know you can hear God as Jesus did? Standing in the Waterfall is the place where Jesus walked in earth, abiding in the presence of the Father. He said more than once that He said the words that the Father gave him to say and that He obeyed what the Father told Him to do. Jesus did what came into His head and His heart because He was aligned to the Father's heart and in the flow of the Spirit in that place. So are we, when we choose to live in the Waterfall. Trust what comes into your head and your heart comes from the Father. Say it: do it! and see what happens. Read John 14 and reflect! Believe, trust and obey!

Before the Fall, Adam and Eve had a secure foundation, a secure home, a place of love, belonging and connection, their experience was of having all their needs fully satisfied within their trusting relationship with the Father. They knew who they were and whose they were.
Disobedience led to spiritual death and the fracture of the relationship between the Father and His children. Adam and Eve had now to survive cut off from their source of love. Moreover, they had eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil now they thought they knew best.
The consequences of living in the fallen world, outside the environment in which we were born to thrive, mean that we all suffer emotional damage, which underpins the way we experience life. This chapter helps us understand our particular story, in terms of the emotional baggage we carry that prevents us from living in freedom of all the fullness Jesus died on the Cross to give us.

HOW DO WE BEGIN to understand our stories?

Our stories are very important to God (see Psalm 139) for when transformed, they will be a deep reservoir of blessing to be poured out for Kingdom purposes ‘for it is with the comfort we receive that we will comfort others’.

Life in the fallen world is a bruising affair and our stories may not feel like a blessing at the moment, for they have been lived out in hazardous circumstances. Consequently, our images have become distorted by sin, anger, fear and shame but this is why we all need God’ s intervention, to accept the Cross and accept the Holy Spirit’s ministry. God has trusted us with our stories and knows when and how to transform the pain and set us free.

There are many ways to help the process of healing but when they are led by God, recovery is sustained and with timing that is significant. It is good to remind ourselves at this stage that God values our stories so much that Jesus died for us to be able to bring them before the throne of the Father, and actively and meaningfully into God’s story. More The Father wants us home basking in His absolute love.

Chapter 4. The Problem of Pain

We are going to explore the emotional pain that distorts the created image we were born to be, so that we can be aware of what is going on within us and co-operate with the Holy Spirit in our healing. Why do we have pain?
We were created to live in the Waterfall of God’s love, nourished and sustained by having our love tanks filled to overflowing through our relationship with the Father. In the fallen world full love tanks do not happened. We all carry some degree of emotional pain, that drives us, often without us being aware of its presence. Understanding where it comes from and how it develops allows us to co-operate with the Holy Spirit in His ministry of healing.
