This episode is our first time releasing a 100% solo episode! Today, Steph talks to us about her #1 tip that EVERYONE can do to kickstart a healthier lifestyle: prioritizing your mental health. We thought this was a perfect topic to close out mental health awareness month :)
In this episode, Stephanie goes deep into talking about her history with fitness, being strict, creating high stress situations, overcommitting, needing to "do it all", and not processing her emotions/feelings/etc. All of this led to looking good, but 1000% feeling like shit (mentally, hormonally, nutritionally, energetically...). What finally got her on a path to being her healthiest self (so far), was therapy!
She gives examples of some of her biggest lessons learned from her therapist, why seeing her therapist was the most monumental positive shift in her health, and why she is an advocate for everyone to go to therapy :)
