  • Reloading 101 – Part 2: 9mm on a Single-Stage Press (2020 Facebook Live Re-Release)
    Nov 22 2025

    Send us a text

Part 2 is here! This is the grand re-release of the 2020 “lost” footage where we load 9mm on a single-stage press. I walk through brass inspection, sizing/decapping, trimming, priming (hand tool & on-press), measuring powder (balance beam, thrower, RCBS electronic), seating to OAL, and applying a light crimp—plus labeling and using a case gauge.

    What you’ll learn:
-Why single-stage is perfect for learning fundamentals
-Brass inspection: splits, bulges, case head issues
    -Resize/decap + shell holder setup
-Trimming & deburr (Lee system) and when pistol cases need it
-Priming two ways (RCBS hand primer + on-press)
-Powder: balance beam vs. thrower vs. electronic dispenser
-Seating depth & OAL checks (example target ~1.150")
-Light crimping: what it does and how to avoid over-crimp
-Final inspection, case gauge checks, labeling & load journal

  • Talking Guns, Tanks, and YouTube Limits – Your Arsenal Advisor on the Urban Defense Podcast
    Nov 8 2025

    Send us a text

In this episode of the Urban Defense Podcast, we sit down with Brian from Your Arsenal Advisor to talk about guns, tanks, reloading, the SCAR 17, 1911s, why the Marine Corps ditched armor, and what it’s really like trying to run a firearms-focused YouTube channel in 2025.

    We get into:

How he got started making gun content on YouTube

His background (Marine Corps, construction management, lifelong shooter)

Why he films tanks, armor, and range footage

His favorite rifles and pistols (SCAR 17S, SIG P229, Glocks, 10mm G20)

Reloading basics, safety, case gauges, headspace, ladder testing

Algorithm throttling, demonetization, takedowns, and appeals

Why even “normal” content like painting a rifle or showing historical rifles gets flagged

And yes… SCAR 17 vs 1911 vs “Two World Wars”

We also talk about Marine Corps armor, historic tanks, museum access, AR platform details (bolt catch, dust cover, forward assist debates), and how comments/shares literally decide whether videos like this get seen.

    • SCAR 17 vs 1911

  • Beginner’s Guide to Reloading Ammo | Lost 2020 Livestream (Dillon, Lee, Hornady, RCBS)
    Oct 25 2025

    Send us a text

We found the “lost” reloading episode!

This is the long-lost 2020 intro to ammunition reloading that I thought never saved. It kicked off a two-part series during the COVID days. Part one (this video) covers the basics, gear, safety, and realistic expectations. Part two (coming soon) goes deeper into steps and setup.

What you’ll learn in this episode:
-Why reload (self-reliance, rare/custom loads) vs. when it won’t save much on common calibers
-Essential gear: single-stage vs. progressive presses (Dillon XL650/750, Lee, Hornady, RCBS), shell holders/plates
-Case cleaning: vibratory vs. wet tumbling (Lyman, Frankford Arsenal; media vs. stainless pins)
-Priming & powder: hand primers, throwers, balance beam scales, electronic dispensers (RCBS Chargemaster)
-Dies & setup: sizing/decapping, seating, separate crimp (Lee Factory Crimp)
-Case prep: trimming options, chamfer/deburr, calipers, case gauges
-Components overview: brass, bullets, powder (Unique, H110), primers; common calibers (9mm, .223/5.56, .308, 12-ga, .50 BMG)
    -Basic workflow: inspect → clean → size/decap → trim/chamfer → prime → charge → seat → crimp → final inspection
-Record-keeping: how to label boxes and keep a load journal that actually helps
