On Episode 131 of the Guest Speaker Series, we welcome the hip-hop legend and Lawrence, MA native, Termanology, to the show! Termanology’s illustrious career includes a discography of 50+ albums, with collaborations that range from Mac Miller, Paul Wall, Bun B, Statik Selektah, and so many more. He’s even hit the Billboard charts on multiple occasions. Despite the fact that Termanology is a nationally known figure, his roots are still deeply tied to MA. Term and Mike discuss the state of MA music currently, as well as reflect on his come-up in Lawrence during a time when multiple acts like the aforementioned producer Statik Selektah, rapper Reks, and the late singer/songwriter Nawlege, all rose in their respective fames. As an elder statesmen at this point in his career, Term has brought much of his wealth of knowledge into the education field, where he teaches young people how to write music and produce, in partnership with Change the Play, as well as his own non-profit, Good Dad Gang. Term has also written a book ‘100 Ways to Be a Better Dad’ which has changed the narrative as well as the lives of single dads and parents throughout the country, all of which Term discusses at length.
