  • Totally Extra: Dennis Bergkamp - the footballer’s footballer
    Oct 11 2025

Jimbo flicks through the Totally Almanac once again and lands in 1995 with a signing that transformed both Arsenal and the Premier League, Dennis Bergkamp.

He is joined by Duncan Alexander, Michael Cox and ex-teammate of the so called 'Iceman', Adrian Clarke to look back at one of the most technically gifted players ever to play in the English top flight.

From so many memorable and impossible goals, to perfect pinpoint assists but also the lesser mentioned tougher side and grit, why isn't he considered one of the very greatest?

Plus your questions and a tough Dutch themed quiz from Duncan.

Produced by Jesse Howard and Charlie Jones.

  • Tuchel’s World Cup decisions + La Liga & Serie A fixtures overseas
    Oct 9 2025

Jimbo's got Duncan Alexander, Colin Millar and Carl Anka along for some international break fun and games.

England have been under Thomas Tuchel's tutelage for a year - and his latest squad inclusions and omissions have certainly raised eyebrows. So where do the Three Lions stand at the moment - and how set is the team heading into next summer's World Cup? Plus - a word on the fortunes of the other home nations as qualifying reaches its climax across Europe.

CAF qualifiers have thrown up more than a few eye-catching storylines, no least the remarkable Cape Verde on the brink of a place in the 2026 tournament - and the drama surrounding South Africa's docked points. African football expert Maher Mezahi joins us for a deep dive into some of the key issues across the continent.

Plus - we react to the news that Uefa have 'reluctantly' granted permission for La Liga and Serie A to stage a game each abroad this winter, meaning European league games will be played on different continents for the first time.

Produced by Charlie Jones and Lucy Oliva.

  • Kane rewriting records, Bellingham’s benched - and the end of San Siro?
    Oct 7 2025

Seb Stafford-Bloor, Pol Ballús, Julien Laurens and James Horncastle (at the airport!) are alongside Jimbo for your latest dose of intriguing European fare from across the continent.

In Serie A, Juventus and Milan played out a goalless draw, allowing Napoli to take advantage and take back top spot after their come from behind 2-1 win over Genoa - courtesy of a late winner from Rasmus Hojlund no less.

Over in La Liga, Barcelona were handed their heaviest defeat in over a decade after their shock 4-1 beating at the hands of Sevilla. Real got back to winning ways and back in first position after a Vini brace guided them to a 3-1 win over Villarreal.

In Ligue 1, it’s awfully tight at the top after PSG were held to a 1-1 draw by Lille, with an Mbappe on the scoresheet… Marseille, Strasbourg and Lyon all sit just a point behind in what’s shaping up to be an exciting start to the season.

And in Germany, you guessed it - Harry Kane’s broken another record! Bayern have won each of their first 10 competitive matches this season, with their number 9 becoming the first player in history to score 11 goals in the first six games of a Bundesliga season.

    Produced by Lucy Oliva.
