  • The Tim May Show: Sayin is the Real Deal, Clay & Tim Say
    Aug 22 2025

After waxing poetically about how they both became college football fans, most of it due to their mothers' influence, Clay and Tim delve into the meat of discussing Ohio State football, especially about first-time starting quarterback Julian Sayin. The jury is out on how good saying can be, but court will be in session immediately when the Buckeyes host number one Texas on August 30. They laugh at the Southeastern Conference's assertion that, in essence, it's inventing a non-game conference schedule, when in fact the Big Ten has been playing nine games for a while. And then Tim has an interview with a fella talking about where the majority of NFL players come from, in the state of Ohio, Ohio State also ranks high.

  • The Tim May Show: Ohio State Safety Caleb Downs - Leader, Captain, "Coach"
    Aug 21 2025

As soon as Caleb Downs showed up at Ohio State in the winter of 2024, it was obvious that things were special about this young man. Anyone watching the 2024 season could see examples of why. He was a playmaker immediately at safety, but he more and more asserted himself as a leader within the defense. He proved himself to be a trusted Confidant on and off the field, a teammate that cornerback Davison Igbinosun even refers to as a coach, due to the knowledge and perspective he brings to the game. That's why it was no surprise to see him elected as one of four captains for the Buckeyes for 2025.
