Canoeing and kayaking are low impact activities that can improve your cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and flexibility. Different versions of the sport can be peaceful and meditative, or can be adrenaline-inducing and exhilarating! This week we talk to Rebecca, who started sprint kayaking (calm water racing) just as Covid was winding down. We discuss how it's been a perfect sport for regular workouts, competing a couple of times a year, building a little resilience to cold water, and staying injury-free!
