    It's not often a roller coaster makes it through a cross country move and 50 years of thrills, but here at Silverwood Theme Park, we've got the exception. In honor of Corkscrew's 50th Birthday, we wanted to celebrate this iconic coaster's history, the stories and memories behind its legacy, and why we hope it will keep entertaining you for years to come.

    On this week's episode we skip right to the good stuff and sift through some memories with not one, but two, special guests.

    First, we talk with Tami Martinez, who we have fondly dubbed Corkscrew's Bestie. Tami has been there since day one - both at Knott's Berry Farm and Silverwood - as Corkscrew took it's first inversion in each location.

    Then, we do a video call with Nicholas Laschkewitsch, Producer of the documentary, The Legacy of Arrow Development, and proud historian of American Coaster Enthusiasts. Nicholas's knowledge of our Corkscrew's humble beginnings and ground breaking footprint on the roller coaster industry will leave you in awe.

    Who is ready to kick off another incredible summer at Silverwood?

    The Silverwood team is hard at work ensuring the park is in tip-top shape for its guests. The shelves are being stocked, the coasters are being inspected, the grass is being cut, and the flowers are looking their very best for opening day on May 3rd.

    The story of how it all began is as unique as the park itself. It all started with a man’s passion for collecting antique cars and planes on his remote property in Northern Idaho. Owner and Founder, Gary Norton, wasn’t sure if anyone would come to his new creation. But since Silverwood’s opening in 1988, people worldwide have flooded through its gates.
    Over 37 years later, Silverwood has gone from a small museum in 1988 to the largest theme park in the Northwest today.

    On this week's episode we invite General Manager, Juston Henry to join us to talk about his Silverwood upbringing. After running the Ferris Wheel in 1990, to dipping his toes into every department around the park, to becoming GM, he knows how to create a successful season that aligns with Gary's vision.
