Living from God's presence always needs to start with authenticity. But in the name of authenticity we have sometimes left biblical truth in the dust! How can we be real about our feelings, circumstances, and struggles, yet still yield to the Lordship of Jesus and stand on truth? These are a few of the questions we'll explore in this introduction to living authentically from His presence.

Before we can live from God's presence, we need to first intentionally cultivate an AWARENESS of His presence. I believe doing so is foundational to any discussion about living a presence driven life. But how do we do that? Where do we start?

In this episode that is exactly what we'll discuss. How do we recognize His presence, respond to His presence, and, perhaps most importantly, yield to His presence? How do we invite Him with our actions and not just our words? There is no one-size-fits-all answer to these questions but we can start by intentionally cultivating awareness and asking better questions!

She is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked extensively with those impacted by complex trauma, including survivors of sex trafficking. She is the director of Flourish International a nonprofit that equips churches and families in trauma-informed care for survivors of sexual exploitation. Her open heart to His Spirit, along with her clinical knowledge and experience, give her unique insights into the restorative process of establishing authentic and lasting connection with Jesus and each other.

This week’s episode is short and simple, with maybe just a bit of sweet thrown in for good measure! Today I'll share a few quick thoughts to clarify some of what has been discussed, some of what might be discussed in the future, and give a bit more context on where we are going and why. A friend of mine said clarity is like a palate cleanser - I couldn’t agree more! While I don’t think in the six episodes that have preceded this one we’ve managed to leave anyone terribly confused, I DO think there are always areas that benefit from greater clarity.
