    The Tipperary County championships kicked off in all 3 grades and there was action a plenty.


    Holycross toppled Toomevara and that's where the lads started before diving into the rest of the senior games.


    A rumble in Borris-Ileigh marred a good spectacle between Silvermines & Boherlahan while Upperchurch snatched a draw from Moneygall, just two of the highlights of a Premier Intermediate championship.


    While in the Intermediate grade Carrick Davin had the result of the weekend with that win over Newport and while Stephen tries to deflect the Davin will surely fly up the power rankings.

    In a bumper 149th edition the main topic of conversation is the Trip to Frank McCourt's rainy Limerick and Galway in the opposition corner. Two years ago Tipp came up short and a role reversal will be needed Saturday to truly accept 2025 as a success.


    Tipp, as expected, dispatched Laois with ease and eyes turn to the Tribe. The lads preview the game while discussing the selection headaches as Liam Cahill has a panel to pick from who are high on confidence with numerous players putting their hands up for starting spots.


    Looking back to 2023 there is a fair amount of turnover within the panel which can only be seen as a positive.


    Dublin v Limerick also gets a mention.


    The lads round out discussion with a chat around GAA +, RTE and the promotion of our national games in general.
