Federal Court Justice Jocelyne Gagné granted him a temporary deferral so he can pursue a humanitarian and compassionate grounds application to stay in Canada permanently.

This is the man who killed 16 people and injured 13 others in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. Who served 2 and a half years of an 8 year sentence. Who was ordered deported in 2024.

And nobody told the victims' families.

Chris Joseph — father of Jaxon Joseph, one of the 16 killed — found out his son's killer wasn't being deported the same way everyone else did. From reporters looking for a comment.

In a breaking story today, Government House Leader Steven MacKinnon tabled a motion in Parliament to change the composition of every House of Commons committee. The vote hasn't happened yet but with 174 seats the outcome is not in question.

To understand why this changes everything you need to understand how a bill becomes law in Canada. Because buried inside that process is the one step that actually keeps a majority government in check. The committee stage. And that is exactly what the Liberals just moved to control.

Right now committees are split 4 Liberals, 4 Conservatives and 1 Bloc. The proposed motion changes that to 7 Liberals, 4 Conservatives and 1 Bloc. A guaranteed Liberal majority on every single committee. Every bill. Every clause. Every amendment. Every witness. Every vote.

This is the same government that rushed Bill C-9 through committee after making a deal with the Bloc and killing the debate. The same government that got its majority not through an election but through floor crossings — a first in Canadian history. And now the first government in Canadian history to move to change committee composition mid-term.

Europe's Digital ID Is Official & Canada Is Next | Here's How They'll Do It Here!

It's official. By the end of 2026 every EU member state is legally mandated to offer a Digital Identity Wallet to every citizen and resident. By 2027 every major platform — Google, Amazon, Meta, WhatsApp, your bank, your public services — must accept it for authentication. Their target is 80% adoption by 2030.

And Canada is already following the same playbook.

Ireland launched public testing of their Digital ID wallet this month — April 2026. They're selling it as age verification to protect children from social media. Sound familiar? Because that's exactly what Marc Miller said last week when he confirmed that Canada's social media ban is just the beginning.

But here's what nobody is telling you.

Our government doesn't have one way to push Digital ID on Canadians. They have three.

The first is the social media ban — 75% of Canadians already support it. Age verification requires government approved ID. That's door number one.

The second is illegal immigration. Anywhere from 500,000 to 2 million people are living in Canada illegally right now. The UK already tried selling Digital ID as the solution to stop illegals from working. Canada has the same problem and the same solution waiting.

The third door is the one Carney just opened today.

CUSMA is up for negotiation on July 1st. The US buys 75% of our exports. As per Canada.ca — trade supports 1 in 6 Canadian jobs — 3.3 million people. If CUSMA collapses and tariffs hit every Canadian good, we are heading straight into a recession. Millions of Canadians out of work.

Remember CERB? The government handed out billions during COVID to Canadians who couldn't work. Imagine if they required a Digital ID to receive CERB 2.0. You know most Canadians would sign up.

Carney is not just destroying our relationship with the United States. He is creating the exact conditions needed to make Digital ID adoption inevitable.

This is not a coincidence. This is the plan.

It's not too late for Canada — but it starts with understanding what's really going on.

Carney's Minister Just Confirmed It — The Social Media Ban Is Only The First Step But What's Next?

Yesterday Culture Minister Marc Miller confirmed what many of us already suspected — the social media ban for anyone under 16 is not the end goal. It's just the beginning.

75% of Canadians support banning kids and teens under 16 from social media according to an Angus Reid Institute poll released March 29th. The grassroots have spoken and the Liberals are listening — but not for the reasons you think.

Because here's what Miller actually said. The ban is just one layer. Online harms don't end at 16. And the responsibility needs to extend beyond social media to all social platforms.

All social platforms.

That includes WhatsApp. Telegram. Signal. And if you think that's where it stops — what else is considered a social platform? AI bots. ChatGPT. Gemini. Claude. Grok. The same tools millions of Canadians use every single day to access information the mainstream media won't cover.

And now that the Liberals have their majority — Bills C-8, C-9 and C-22 can pass without a single opposition vote.

Miller pointed to Australia as the model they want to follow. But here's what he didn't tell you — Australia's teen social media ban has already been called a flop. They passed the legislation anyway.
