    LEIGH DIFFEY:

Leigh Diffey is one of the world's leading sports broadcasters, in charge of “bringing the action” to motorsport fans for the past 30 years.

Many Australian listeners might remember him from when he burst onto the scene as the lead play-by-play commentator for the V8 Supercars coverage on Network Ten back in 1997.

A few years later, he moved to the UK, where he commentated on the World Superbike Championship and the World Rally Championship (WRC) for leading British broadcaster, the BBC.

In 2001, he relocated to the United States, where he covered a range of categories, including the IMSA SportsCar Championship and the IndyCar Series.

In 2024, he was appointed the lead play-by-play announcer for NBC's NASCAR Cup Series broadcast team. And in 2025, he made a memorable cameo appearance in F1 The Movie.

Leigh joins us again on The Podium to talk about his role in F1 The Movie and to share his thoughts on all the latest action from Formula 1, IndyCar, and the NASCAR Cup Series!

    WILL BUXTON:

Will Buxton is a highly respected British motorsport journalist, broadcaster, and commentator whose career spans more than two decades across some of the most prestigious series in international racing.

He started his career in motorsport media over two decades ago as a writer for the official F1 magazine.

He then further established himself on the Formula 1 circuit by doing the PR and commentary for the series now known as FIA Formula 2.

In the years that followed he would go on to become an F1 pit reporter for Speed Channel and NBC Sports, before joining the Formula 1 media team, and subsequently make a name and a meme of himself as a key contributor to the smash hit Netflix series 'Drive to Survive'.

In 2025, he has become the lead play-by-play commentator for Fox"s coverage of the IndyCar Series, and has been involved in the development of the Hollywood blockbuster film 'F1 The Movie'.
