  • Ohio Weather 3/10 Morning - Rain Starting 2 PM
    Mar 10 2026
Good morning. Ohio. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you're greeted by 58 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, spring is teasing us. But a wild ride is coming. Southwest Ohio wakes up near 62 degrees and climbs to a balmy 76 by late afternoon. A few light showers could pop up mid-morning, but the real action holds off until after midnight. Central Ohio starts near 58 and reaches 73, with scattered thunderstorms possible between 2 and 4 P.M. Northeast Ohio runs cooler — 55 degrees this morning with rain arriving around 5 A.M., topping out at 68 this afternoon. As the sun sets. Tonight is when things get serious, thunderstorms develop after midnight, some potentially severe. Damaging winds are the main threat, with an isolated tornado risk. Heavy rain is likely too — some areas could see 3 to 4 inches before Wednesday evening. Wednesday brings the big punch, showers and thunderstorms roll through with highs in the mid-70s statewide. Winds gust to 35 miles an hour, possibly higher, then the cold front crashes through Wednesday night. Temperatures plummet from the 70s to the mid-30s by Thursday morning, rain changes to snow as that cold air floods in. The rest of the week is a temperature roller coaster, thursday clears out with highs in the mid-40s to low 50s. Friday stays mostly cloudy near 50 to 60 degrees with gusty southwest winds and a chance of rain. Saturday starts quiet with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s, sunday warms back to the upper 60s, but rain returns by afternoon. Another cold front sweeps through Sunday night, bringing rain that changes to snow. Monday could see a few inches of accumulation with highs struggling to reach the mid-30s. As the sun sets. Stay weather-aware tonight and Wednesday. This is a significant severe weather setup. Looking ahead. See you this afternoon.

  • Ohio Weather 3/9 Morning - Clear Skies
    Mar 9 2026
Good morning. Ohio. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you're greeted by sunshine and 41 degrees. Clear skies. Light breeze. The kind of morning that makes you forget winter ever happened. Because a beast is coming. Today stays gorgeous statewide. Sunshine dominates with highs climbing into the upper 60s and low 70s. Cincinnati hits 72 degrees. Columbus reaches 69. Cleveland tops out at 66. Southwest winds gust to 24 miles an hour, keeping things breezy but pleasant. Perfect weather for a lunchtime walk if you ask me. Tonight stays mild under partly cloudy skies. Lows in the low to mid-50s. A few light rain showers could pop up around 5 A.M. Tuesday across northeast Ohio, but nothing serious. Then Tuesday brings the warm-up before the storm. Highs reach the mid-70s statewide under mostly cloudy skies. By Tuesday night, thunderstorms develop. Some could be strong, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds. Rainfall totals between a quarter and half inch are likely. Wednesday is the main event. Rain and thunderstorms move through with widespread totals between 1 and 2 inches. Severe weather is possible, especially across southern and eastern Ohio. Strong winds, heavy downpours. And isolated hail are all on the table. Highs reach the low to mid-70s before a cold front crashes through Wednesday evening. That front brings a dramatic temperature drop. Rain transitions to snow Wednesday night as temps plunge into the low 30s. Thursday clears out with highs only reaching the mid-40s. Friday brings another system. A clipper tracks through the Great Lakes with a chance of mixed rain and snow. The bigger story is wind. Gusts could hit 40 to 50 miles an hour. Charge your phone and fill up the gas tank before Wednesday. You'll thank me later. See you this afternoon.

  • Ohio Weather 3/8 Midday - Flood Warning
    Mar 8 2026
Good afternoon. Ohio. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside and you'll feel that leftover drizzle wrapping up. We're sitting at 46 degrees right now after a mild night. That tenth of an inch of rain? It's clearing out east to west. And sunshine's taking over through midday. Today's looking pleasant. Mostly sunny skies statewide with highs from 60 to 62 degrees. Southwest Ohio hits 62. Central Ohio reaches 60. And Northeast Ohio climbs to 61 despite some patchy drizzle hanging around until 9 A.M. West winds stay light, 2 to 15 miles an hour. Tonight drops to the low 40s under mostly clear skies. Monday brings even better weather. Sunny skies and highs from 69 to 71 degrees. Perfect conditions before things change. But. A powerful storm system is bearing down on us for midweek. Tuesday starts quiet, but by afternoon, showers and storms develop. Southwest Ohio sees the first chance around 8 A.M. Highs push into the mid-70s. Tuesday night is when it gets serious. Rain and thunderstorms move in statewide, with rainfall totals of a quarter to half an inch. Some storms could be strong. Wednesday is the main event. Rain and thunderstorms, nearly 100 percent coverage. Highs reach the mid-70s, but don't let that fool you. Wind gusts could hit 40 miles an hour even outside of storms. Severe weather is possible Wednesday afternoon into early evening. Heavy downpours could trigger flooding concerns. Then the bottom drops out Wednesday night. Temperatures crash from the 70s to the low 30s. Rain transitions to snow, with accumulations possible, especially northeast. Thursday sees a chance of lingering rain and snow before clearing. One more thing. Clocks spring forward tonight. Set them ahead before bed. See you this evening.
