  • New Jersey Weather 3/10 Morning - 31° Above Normal
    Mar 10 2026
Good morning. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you'll feel something unusual for early March, we're sitting at 49 degrees. And that's just the beginning, today's bringing record-challenging heat across the Garden State. Moving on. Dense fog is hugging the coast this morning, especially down in Atlantic City and Cape May. Visibility's down to a quarter mile in spots, so take it slow if you're driving near the shore before 10 A.M. Once that burns off, sunshine takes over statewide. Temperature-wise. Now for the temperatures — and this is where it gets interesting. Up north around Newark, you're climbing to 76 degrees, while central Jersey hits 78. Down south along the coast? The ocean's keeping you cooler at 56, but that's still mild for March 10th. We're talking 31 degrees above normal across most of the state, some spots could challenge records set back in 2016. As the sun sets. Light southwest winds stay gentle through the day, then. Shift south tonight, while another round of coastal fog is possible after dark. Lows tonight settle in the upper 40s to low 50s — warmer than many April nights. Wednesday continues the warmth. Highs reach the mid to upper 70s inland, though the coast stays cooler again in the upper 50s. Clouds increase through the day. And a few showers are possible late. Temperature-wise. Here's where things get interesting, a strong cold front barrels through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Rain moves in overnight, potentially heavy at times with gusty winds, while some thunderstorms are possible. Then Thursday, temperatures crash. You'll wake up in the 50s but fall through the 40s all day as northwest winds gust to 30 miles an hour. Rain may even mix with wet snow Thursday afternoon before ending. Friday and Saturday bring partly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s — back to seasonal norms. Soak in this warmth today. It won't last. Looking ahead. See you this afternoon.

  • New Jersey Weather 3/9 Midday - Unseasonably Warm
    Mar 9 2026
Good afternoon. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you'll feel something unusual. We're sitting at 46 degrees — that's 30 degrees warmer than normal for early March. This mild stretch is just getting started. Today brings sunshine statewide, but here's where it gets interesting. North Jersey climbs to 70 degrees with southwest winds up to 12 miles an hour. Central Jersey also hits 70, though patchy fog develops after 5 A.M. South Jersey? Just 56 degrees. That cold Atlantic water is keeping the coast in check, with fog lingering through the morning. Tonight stays mild. North Jersey drops to 44 under mostly clear skies. Central Jersey also falls to 44 with partly cloudy conditions and patchy fog after 5 A.M. South Jersey holds at 43 with fog and mostly cloudy skies. Tuesday brings even more warmth. North Jersey reaches 72 degrees under sunny skies. Central Jersey peaks at 74 — the warmest spot statewide — with patchy fog clearing by 9 A.M. South Jersey climbs to just 53 as fog lingers until late morning. That's a 30 degrees-degree spread statewide. Tuesday and Wednesday stay unseasonably warm with highs in the low to mid 70s inland. Coastal areas remain cooler in the 50s. Wednesday brings increasing clouds with a chance of rain showers developing after 2 P.M., mainly north and west. The pattern shifts Wednesday night into Thursday. A strong cold front sweeps through, bringing widespread rain and possibly thunderstorms overnight. Rain likely continues Thursday morning, then a chance of rain and snow showers in the afternoon as temperatures crash through the 50s. Winds turn gusty out of the west at 15 to 20 miles an hour. Friday through the weekend brings seasonable temperatures in the upper 40s to low 50s with chances for rain or snow showers. Enjoy the mild stretch while it lasts. See you this evening.

  • New Jersey Weather 3/9 Morning - Dense Fog Advisory
    Mar 9 2026
Good morning. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you stepped outside just now, you probably couldn't see your own car. Dense fog has rolled in across southern New Jersey and the coast, dropping visibility to a quarter mile in spots. Take it slow if you're heading out early — this stuff should burn off by mid-morning once the sun gets to work. Once that fog clears? We're talking sunshine and warmth. North Jersey hits 70 degrees. Central Jersey does the same. But here's the kicker — down at the shore, you're stuck in the mid-50s. That chilly Atlantic water is keeping things cooler right along the coast. Classic New Jersey — 30 degrees-degree spread across 50 miles. Winds stay light out of the southwest, maybe gusting to 10 miles an hour. Tonight, mostly clear skies with lows in the low to mid-40s. But that fog? It's coming back after midnight, especially near the coast. Patchy fog could creep inland again, so keep that in mind if you've got early Tuesday plans. Tuesday brings more of the same. Sunshine and warmth inland, with highs in the low to mid-70s for most. The coast stays cooler again in the low 50s. Morning fog possible, clearing by mid-morning. Here's your heads-up for the week ahead. Wednesday stays mild with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, but clouds build in. Wednesday night into Thursday, a strong cold front barrels through. Rain arrives after midnight Wednesday. And some thunderstorms are possible. Thursday morning could be wet, then rain tapers to scattered showers. Behind that front, temperatures crash. Thursday's high only reaches the upper 50s. And we drop into the low 30s Thursday night with a few lingering snow showers possible. Friday and the weekend stay cooler and unsettled, with highs in the mid-to-upper 40s and a chance for rain or snow showers at times. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts. See you this afternoon.
