What is opportunity?
- A favorable juncture of circumstances that offers a chance to advance or make progress in personal, professional, or communal aspects. (Chat GPT)
- Latent potential for something good or important to happen if recognized and capitalized on.
How does opportunity show up in our lives?
- Blind luck
- i.e., being born into the right family or growing up in a capitalistic culture, time and chance; Ecclesiastes 9:11-12, etc.)
- Serendipity
- Right place-right time, stars align, usually arising from Specialized Knowledge/Skills or a connection intersecting with a specific circumstance
- Solicitation
- Become a person opportunity is attracted to… and go looking for it!
- Predictable/Unpredictable Circumstances (A crisis is a terrible thing to waste - treasure recovery service)
- God is the creator of opportunity
- He creates/orchestrates opportunities for us through blessing and favor
