  • S3E14 - Seven Loaves Celebrates the Season of Giving
    Dec 1 2023
On this the season finale of The Middleburg Podcast our intern, Foxcroft graduate Ellie Wicht, takes over the show as host, producer and editor. Ellie joined us in April in her gap year before she heads to Boston University to study film. Ellie suggested the perfect guest this holiday season when she interviewed Caroline Hemsley from Seven Loaves about the food pantry that takes care of those in need in and around Middleburg. Ellie also has her pick of the highlight events this month, which kicks off with the popular tree lighting followed by the Christmas Parade. Pick up an events calendar for the month in stores around town for more details of what’s happening this holiday season. The Middleburg Podcast will be back in the spring so until then thank you all for listening, have a wonderful holiday, and a happy and healthy New Year.

  • S3E12: Madison Street Welcomes New Stores
    Oct 1 2023
October in Middleburg has begun with a frenzy of activity in glorious fall weather as Madison Street welcomes new and diverse stores to tempt residents and visitors alike. This month, Ellie has been out with her recorder to talk to two of those new shop-keepers. We hear from Rebecca Kidder at Federal & Black, and Mary Beth Morrell at Middleburg Books. With the ribbon cutting taking having taken place at the end of September, Ellie finds out more about these latest additions to the town, the people behind the counter and what customers can expect. Ellie also has her pick of some of the events coming up this month, which includes the Chili Cook-Off on October 13 and of course there’s something spooky going on with Halloween as Ellie explains.
