About this listen

A deep dive into the revolutionary history and current resistance movements of Los Angeles. We go over the radical history of the black and Chicano revolutionary history through the Black Panther Party’s armed struggle in LA, and interview Brown Beret co-founder Carlos Montes on the Chicano movement. We analyze the diversity of tactics being used today to resist fascism and how it echoes past moments.

Dedicated to all people resisting oppression and exploitation around the world, to the Community Self-Defense Coalition, the Harbor Area Peace Patrols, the Long Beach Rapid Response Network, and all the organizations and revolutionaries on the ground resisting fascism today.

Special thanks to Carlos Montes and the LA Wellness Center for giving us time and space to interview.
