When we think about bringing the Kingdom of God in to the here and now, it can feel pretty daunting - today we take some time to look at some of the ways we can draw our attention to the things that are important to God and feel like we’re able to collaborate more with him on a daily basis.

The term ‘Kingdom of God’ is used at various points in the bible - we can sometimes be led to believe that this all about arriving at a destination where we can find God.

For some, the word church is a positive word, it can bring life, inspiration and provide a foundation for life.

Sadly, not everyone has had that experience of Church.

In order to be able to follow Jesus’ example we need to learn to take courage.

Jesus was always prepared to do the courageous things, standing up against the religious systems of his day, reaching out to those who were outcast in society, choosing an unorthodox group of people to be on his team.

Today we look at how we can be courageous in the way we live our lives and the people that we choose to connect with.

It can be quite challenging to find the words to communicate effectively. We want to have all of the facts and information to be able to really talk about why something is important to us or how it works.

Jesus was a master of communication - he could assess his audience and then communicate in a way that was relevant and informative to those listening.

Today we take some time to consider his way of communicating and think about how we can learn from his example.

Jesus was already prepared to do things differently.

Today we look at how he sort out the people who’d be overlooked in society, sometimes rejected or outcast. We take some time to think about what this meant for Jesus and how we can do the same in our own situations.

When we think about the alternative way that Jesus operated, one of the great examples is looking at the people that he chose to be on his team. It wasn’t the people you’d expect.
