Selena Quintanilla, named the “Queen of Tijano music,” was an American singer, songwriter, and fashion icon who topped the charts in the 80s and 90s. Her career skyrocketed to global fame, but it was cut short when her path crossed with Yolanda Salvidar. Yolanda claimed to be Selena’s biggest fan, and formed a relationship with the star. Yolanda became the fan-club manager, headed two of Selena’s boutique’s, and became a dear friend of hers. When Yolanda’s embezzlement was uncovered, Selena ended their friendship, and Yolanda’s anger turned to a deadly rage.
