 In John 6 the season of Passover is approaching, and as the people of Israel reflect on God’s deliverance from Egypt, the passing through the Red Sea and God’s provision of manna from heaven – Jesus returns to Galilee, feeds people with bread and fish miraculously, and walks upon the water. This is what God does - the sorts of actions that define Him. He feeds, protects, rescues and guides – though calamity may surround His followers.
