 John wrote his epistle in order that the joy of the believer would be full. Christ came, was incarnate, in order that His followers would have joy (John 15:11). Hence, the joy of the believer ought to be a reflection of the joy of Christ in them. The genuiness of this reflection is revealed in the consideration of whether, or not, we are walking in the Light. God is light. If we say that we have fellowship with God and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. This message was presented on Sunday, December 11, 2016 by Bob Corbin.
