 On this episode, I talk with Dr. Blair Goodall about how she optimizes kiddos breathing to help improve their oral development and wellbeing. She goes over how breathing is so important for our kiddos oral development and even their health the rest of their lives. She also provides tips on pacifiers, things to watch out for, and resources to learn more! Dr. Blair Goodall is a board certified pediatric dentist with a passion and focus on airway health and optimal breathing in children. She educates families on the negative impacts that mouth breathing and an open mouth posture can have on a child throughout their lifetime. She believes that establishing good oral hygiene and dietary habits early are the keys to success of overall wellness. Dr. Goodall attended West Virginia University to obtain her BS in Biology. She continued on to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Goodall completed her pediatric dental specialty residency at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, Children's Health Center, and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, TX. During her residency, she had extensive training with medically compromised patients and those with special health care needs. Additionally, Dr. Goodall has completed numerous hours of continuing education post residency on airway health, early orthodontic expansion, sleep disordered breathing, and diagnosis and treatment of tethered oral tissues. Dr. Goodall stays current on the most up to date literature and treatment protocols and utilizes state of the art technology in her dental practice to provide the highest level of care to her patients and their families.
