Tonight was an incredible night on the Hot Rod Tuesday Podcast!

We had none other than the “King of Car Shows,” Bob Larivee Sr., founder of the International Show Car Association (ISCA), join us for a truly special conversation. Bob shared amazing stories about how indoor car shows exploded in popularity through the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, and how he helped turn them into the must-see automotive events they are today.

From building a national show circuit to working alongside legends like George Barris, Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, and many more, Bob gave us a firsthand look at the golden era of custom cars and the incredible people behind it. Best of all, this interview is completely unedited — we wanted you to hear every story, every memory, and every moment exactly as it happened.

We also got an update from Ron Nelson about the upcoming Automotion Car Show in Wisconsin Dells, with some exciting things happening for this year’s event that hot rod fans won’t want to miss.

Of course, we couldn’t get through the night without a little fun. As always, Beth was busting Al’s balls about his Model A build. But Al may have turned the tables a bit — he dropped a hint that something might be in the works and even offered to sell his ’29 Model A pickup to Beth. 👀

Stay tuned… there may be an announcement coming in the next few weeks!

If you love hot rods, custom cars, and the history behind the show-car world, this is an episode you don’t want to miss.
Tune in and enjoy the ride! 🔧🏁

Tonight on the Hot Rod Tuesday Podcast, we dive into a great discussion about actually driving your classic cars instead of trailering them to shows. That conversation led us to a fun and insightful chat with Ed Saari from Corvette Adventures and Muscle Car Adventures. Ed shared details about their awesome driving events based out of Chula Vista in the Wisconsin Dells area — perfect for enthusiasts who believe cars are meant to be driven.

We also caught up with Abe from NAPA Auto Parts in Waupun, who filled us in on the NAPA Filter Sale happening all month long in March — great time to stock up and keep your rides running strong.

And we dropped some exciting new details about the Celebrate Waupun Car Show coming up on June 28! The one and only Wolfman Troy will be bringing the energy as both DJ and live entertainment. Plus, Brian Kohlman’s nitro-burning 1931 Chrysler Coupe won’t just be sitting pretty — he’ll fire it up twice during the day for everyone to experience the thunder!

Hang on for a fun and fast-paced 43 minutes of cars, community, and classic horsepower.
