Ysey enjoyed a 14-year career which included time with the Devils, Red Wings, Jets, Blackhawks, and served as the first ever captain of the Tampa Bay Lightning from 1995-97. He earned the nickname "Rocket Man" in the early 90's as a fan-favorite in Detroit where he had his best statistical season with 35 goals, 40 assists, and became the first Red Wing to win the NHL Plus-Minus Award. Ysey isn't one to mince words, and we were lucky enough to ask him for the best advice he ever received for his hockey game, his financial pursuits, and for life in general.
