About this listen

Gary McKinnon, a British hacker with Asperger’s syndrome, infiltrated 97 US government computers from 2001–2002 seeking UFO evidence. Leaving taunting messages, he exposed poor security but faced extradition and up to 60 years in prison. His mother led a tireless campaign, citing his mental health, which ultimately stopped his extradition in 2012, leading to changes in UK law. McKinnon now lives freely in England but cannot leave for fear of US prosecution.
