 Evidence of Alexander the Great's rule are still visible in India. However, the Greek community is scattered throughout the country, with little means of intercommunication. Similiarly in Kazakhstan, the 12,000 Greek expatriates struggle to maintain an ethnic identity - Αν και η ιστορία χωρών της Ασίας, όπως η Ινδία και το Καζακστάν, έχει χαραχθεί από το ελληνικό στοιχείο, ο αριθμός των ομογενών και οι δίαυλοι επικοινωνίας μεταξύ τους συρρικνώνονται χρόνο με το χρόνο.
