About this listen
Episode 045 of That Was Disappointing is Live.
“In the year 2525, if man is still alive...” LOL
Today’s Theme: The Future. *scans horizon* Still looks like a dumpster fire to me.
Our first topic is the innovation you’re afraid you won’t live long enough to see. Anyone ever read the theory about the Star Trek transporter secretly being a suicide device? Lex has... and he doesn’t care. Beam him up, jerkwads.
Our second topic VR with the deceased: would you or wouldn’t you? Leave it to this podcast to not get through an entire episode without talking about death and despair. And from a new panelist, Kat, no less. Bad form and welcome aboard!
Our third topic is flying cars and traffic of the future, the whole shebang. 3 of this episode’s panelists reside in the Golden State, so it’s no surprise that one of them, Kelly, wants to find any respite from the 405, preferably in the near future. For what it’s worth, 695 sucks too.
Our final topic is our favorite fictional portrayals of the future. Because he can’t go more than two weeks without a film topic, Art wanted us to stick to the world of cinema. Meanwhile, Producer Kenny’s just bummed that Star Wars is a) in the past and b) May the 4th has already come and gone.
