    President Donald Trump met with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte announcing a weapons deal that signals a sharp change in the U.S. posture toward Russia’s war against Ukraine. Last week, President Trump confirmed that the U.S. will resume sending Patriot missile systems to Ukraine and now the Pentagon will start sending Ukraine offensive weaponry that could be used to target Russian forces on their own soil. The structure of the deal is that the United States will manufacture the sophisticated weapons, sell them to NATO who will then transfer them to Ukraine.
