  • Florida Weather 3/10 Morning - 57° Above Normal
    Mar 10 2026
Good morning. Florida. I'm Aaron Jolly. Sunshine owns the day. High pressure locked overhead means clear skies and temperatures that'll make you forget it's still technically winter. As the sun sets. Down in South Florida, you're waking up to 74 degrees, while by mid-afternoon you'll hit 81 along the coast. Inland spots push mid-80s. East winds around 9 miles an hour keep things comfortable near the beaches. Tonight stays mild — lows around 75 degrees. Central Florida starts with patchy fog, but that burns off fast, orlando climbs to 89 degrees by late afternoon. That's about 57 degrees above normal for early March. Light southeast winds. Tonight dips to 67 degrees, with a brief rain chance around 7 P.M. — just a coin flip, so don't count on it. North Florida wakes up at 65 degrees and rockets to 88 by mid-afternoon. Jacksonville could challenge the record high of 91 degrees set back in 1974. Mostly clear skies all day, tonight drops to 67 degrees. Tampa Bay mirrors the pattern, patchy fog early, then sunshine takes over. Highs near 90 degrees inland, mid-80s along the coast, with lows tonight around 67 degrees. Wednesday stays hot and dry — another shot at near-record highs. Thursday brings a cold front with scattered showers and storms, especially in North Florida. Rain chances run 50 to 80 percent, with isolated strong storms possible. Temperatures cool slightly Friday into the weekend, but we're still talking low to mid-80s. Shower chances linger through Sunday as moisture hangs around. Spring equinox is just 10 days away. We're gaining daylight fast — picking up 1 minute and 43 seconds today. Sunrise at 7:42 A.M., sunset at 7:32 P.M. Perfect weather for a lunchtime walk if you ask me. Looking ahead. See you this afternoon.

  • Florida Weather 3/9 Midday - 57° Above Normal
    Mar 9 2026
Good afternoon. Florida. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and you're already at 74 degrees. Early March? More like early summer. High pressure's parked over the Southeast, keeping us bone dry and unseasonably warm. South Florida coasts to 80 degrees with Miami staying breezy — east winds around 9 miles an hour. Tonight barely budges. Dropping to 74. You mightn't even need the AC off. Central Florida cranks the heat even higher. Orlando hits 88 degrees under full sunshine. Some patchy fog rolls in after midnight, especially inland around Ocala. Lows fall to 67 — which is still shorts weather if you ask me. North Florida sits partly sunny with Jacksonville topping out near 82. Southwest winds gust to 17 miles an hour this afternoon. Tonight cools to 66 with partly cloudy skies. Tampa Bay wakes up foggy before 10 A.M., then clears to mostly sunny skies. Highs around 87 degrees. Patchy fog returns after 5 A.M. Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday stay hot and dry — Orlando could crack 90. We're running 57 degrees above normal. Record territory, folks. Thursday flips the script. A cold front barrels through with scattered storms — 70 percent chance across North Florida after 8 A.M. Some spots could see 2 to 4 inches of rain. Winds turn breezy from the northwest as the front passes. Friday cools slightly to the low 80s with lingering showers possible. The weekend stays unsettled with daily rain chances as moisture flows back in. If you're enjoying the warmth today. Thursday's bringing the reset button. See you this evening.

  • Florida Weather 3/9 Morning - Special Weather Statement
    Mar 9 2026
Good morning. Florida. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and it's 66 degrees. Mild. Comfortable. Almost suspiciously pleasant. Because we're about to turn up the thermostat. Today brings sunshine and a serious warmup. South Florida coasts hit 80 degrees with gentle east winds — perfect beach weather if you ask me. Central Florida? You're climbing to 88 degrees. That's well above normal for early March. North Florida reaches 84. Tampa Bay tops out at 87. Watch for patchy fog through mid-morning, especially inland. Visibility can drop fast, so take it easy if you're on the road early. Tonight stays mild — mid to upper 60s statewide under partly cloudy skies. Tuesday gets even hotter. Most inland areas push upper 80s to near 90 degrees — flirting with record territory. South Florida hits 81. Central Florida climbs to 89. North Florida reaches 88. The coast stays slightly cooler thanks to sea breezes, but inland spots could challenge all-time March records. Mostly sunny and dry. For the week. Wednesday brings more near-record heat with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s inland. Then Thursday changes everything. A cold front sweeps through with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances jump to 50 to 70 percent, with some storms possibly strong. Friday turns cooler and drier behind the front — highs drop into the low 80s, lows finally dip into the upper 50s to low 60s. The weekend sees a quick warmup again with scattered showers returning. One more thing — the spring equinox is just 11 days away. We're gaining nearly 2 minutes of daylight each day. See you this afternoon.
