  • Episode 5 - 'The Perfect Day' & 'Say No'

    Season 1 of the official Fischer-Z Podcast will be called 'Now & Then'. John chose this name to celebrate both the 50th anniversary of the band forming in 1976 and to talk about the upcoming new album in September.


    This episode, following on from the band The Cry. Fischer Z are back and John Reforms the band. In this episode we cover off that story and why it all happened. We also cover the Reveal album, what happened in the band and the stories about the songs on both Reveal and "Fish' Head" album. We focus on the songs Perfect Day and Say No as these were the tracks that John relates to the most from this period. John talks about what was happening in his life as well as the band and we prep for Episode 6 covering off the next 2 songs on the favourites list as well as the next 2 albums.

    Season 1 of the official Fischer-Z Podcast will be called 'Now & Then'. John chose this name to celebrate both the 50th anniversary of the band forming in 1976 and to talk about the upcoming new album in September.


    This episode covers the track 'I Need you' from The Cry's album 'Quick Quick Slow'. John formed The Cry after his 2 initial solo albums 'One More Twist' and 'The Iceberg Model'. He covers why he did this, what was happening in his life and why. John also covers the album itself and how he felt about some of the songs on the album. He talks fondly about this time but inevitably it leads to the reformation of Fischer-Z which is then covered in Episode 5 where he talks about 'The Perfect Day' and 'Say No' singles from the 'Reveal' and 'Fish's Head' album.
