The stone family is returning to their childhood home for the holidays. This year, the eldest son Everette plans to propose to his uptight girlfriend Meredith. After receiving a cold reception from the tight knit family, and causing enough awkward moments to make meet the parents feel uncomfortable, Meredith decides to check into a hotel and calls in her sister Julie for support. Things get even more complicated when Everett begins having feelings for the sister Julie, and his brother falls in love with his girlfriend Meredith, all the while, their mother Sybil reveals that she is terminally ill. The Christmas movie that will have you asking, why don’t you just go home Meredith, this is so uncomfortable.
