  • Our Traditional Christmas Eve present to you is Notre Dame’s Hawaii Bowl victory (*Game Sound)
    Dec 23 2025
Merry Christmas! We know there is a lot going on this week with family time and watching USC grow the biggest yellow belly we've ever seen - but we also can’t forget one of our greatest traditions. Christmas Eve marks the 16th anniversary of Notre Dame’s 49-21 win over the Hawaii Warriors in the Hawaii Bowl. Not only was it a tremendously fun game to watch, it also finally ended Notre Dame’s bowl losing streak that stretched back to their last win in January of 1994. We (Josh, Jude, and Brendan) sat down to watch a one-hour cut-up of the game, and this is the podcast... us commenting all the way through. In fact, there are two versions of this podcast. One has the game sound with it to follow along, and one version has no game sound. The one with no game sound is available so that you can watch a video of the same version of the game while listening to us riff all over it. That YouTube link IS RIGHT HERE. We hope you enjoy whatever version you choose (why not both?) and from everyone over at One Foot Down, have a bright and loving holiday season. Learn more about your ad choices. • Notre Dame's playoff snub was ABSOLUTE CINEMA for the SEC and ESPN
    Dec 10 2025
Joshua, Jude, and Brendan opened up the pod bunker to send a special statement out about Notre Dame Football. We will have to dispense with the show notes this week. This was a massive conversation between friends about : The college football playoff snub by the committee, the SEC, and ESPN that looked more like the storyline from the WWE. Pete Bevacqua went scorched earth and we have different feelings about it. The decision to skip the Pop Tarts Bowl and why Notre Dame did the right thing here. The future of the CFP and Notre Dame. And plenty more weaved in and out of the show. Please RATE and REVIEW! All reviews left on Apple Podcasts will be read on the next Earned 5-Star Podcast. Go Irish! Learn more about your ad choices.
