    Our guest this time is Professor Neil Jennings, partnership manager at the Grantham Institute at Imperial College.

    One of Neil’s many jobs is to co-ordinate a cross-college group interested in the health benefits of climate action. As part of this work he supports the development of strategic partnerships with policymakers, business and non-governmental organisations.

    He has a specific interest in the co-benefits of climate action. In our podcast he explains to presenter Hannah Walker how tackling climate change can help create a cleaner, greener, fairer future and how these co-benefits can be better considered in the decision-making process.

    Hannah's guest in this episode is Professor Helen Findlay. She joined Plymouth Marine Laboratory to complete her PhD in 2006, on ocean acidification and climate change impact on marine populations.

    Helen is a member of the Executive Council for the Global Ocean Acidification Observing Network and lead coordinator for the North East Atlantic Ocean Acidification, which aims to establish accurate global monitoring of acidification, share knowledge and build capacity, to underpin solutions.

    Helen also contributes to raising public awareness of ocean health and to training the next generation of scientists through school educational programmes. In our podcast Helen explains what is happening to our oceans in the face of climate change.

    Our guest for this episode is Professor Emily Shuckburgh, director of Cambridge Zero, the University of Cambridge's major climate change initiative.

    Emily is a mathematician and climate scientist. She worked for more than a decade at the British Antarctic Survey where she led a UK national research programme on the Southern Ocean and its role in climate.

    She has also been an advisor on climate to the UK government.

    Emily was awarded an OBE in 2016 and a CBE in 2025. She is co-author with HM King Charles III and Tony Juniper of the Ladybird Book on climate change.

    In our podcast she tells presenter Hannah Walker why she really does keep a bottle of water from the bottom of the Antarctic Ocean on her desk.
