    In this episode of The Dairyland Patriot Travis and Kelly talk immigration. After a review of the Trump administrations over zealous handling of immigration the topic moves to mutual aid. Two examples are reviewed.

    The first an ad-hoc response from a community to the targeting of a group of Haitian immigrants in New London. Here on the CHNV program and working at a local Tyson plant, the Trump administration targeted them for self-deportation, and pulled their work permits. A group of citizens who got to know them over the past year stepped up and helped the immigrants each step of the way.

    The second story covers Hope and Help Together, and the Fox Valley Newcomer Project. These groups work hand in hand to connect and support refugee and immigrant populations with the necessary resources and relationships.
