It was a time to reflect and understad the Lord's direction for us as a church family.

From shepherd to king, the life of David reminds us that every season has purpose. His victories, failures, worship, and repentance all pointed beyond himself—to the eternal Kingdom of God and the coming of Jesus Christ.

Even at the end of his life, David’s story wasn’t about an ending, but about a promise fulfilled.

Through the painful story of David and Absalom, this message explores the lessons of God’s Kingdom revealed in moments of betrayal, loss, and deep sorrow. In the same way, God meets us with mercy every day. Through Jesus, we see a love that doesn’t turn away from our brokenness, but moves towards it. Christ was willing to give His life so we could be brought close, restored, and welcomed into the life God has for us.

This message explores God’s covenant with David and the way Old Testament promises often have both an immediate and a greater future fulfillment in Christ. Using the image of a mountain range and a “valley of time,” it reminds us that delays do not mean denial. Even when God’s promises seem cut down to a stump, the root is still alive. Jesus, the Son of David, is the ultimate fulfillment of every promise God has spoken, calling us to trust Him faithfully while we wait for what He has promised to come to pass.
