Ben Franklin enters the ring and continues the almanac wars with the Leeds family and helps to further feed the Leeds Devil Legend.

We continue our journey through the early Americas and the struggle between Daniel and Titan Leeds, and the religious groups which helped to plant the seeds for the growth of the Jersey Devil.

In this episode we begin with the man who started it all, Daniel Leeds. Believe it or not, his ideas made him a target for ridicule and laid the groundwork for the legend that is the Leeds Devil; Known more commonly today as the Jersey Devil.

This is an introduction for the series based on the book, "The Secret History of the Jersey Devil," by Brian Regal and Frank Esposito.

Going with the theme of this season, I dive into a book that began my awakening, Lies My Teacher Told Me by James W. Loewen. We focus on our history textbook's treatment of the Thanksgiving myth.
