The final week of the Braves' 2025 season has come and gone! The season-high ten-game win streak came to a close, but the Braves were able to pull out a win in the last game of the year and honor the great Charlie Morton!

I talk about the last week of the regular season, the Mets missing the playoffs, and who I want to take it all in the 2025 postseason. Most importantly, though, I talk about the Brave Little Homer Offensive Player of the Year, Matt Olson!

On this week's episode of The Brave Little Homer Podcast, on the back of an outstanding week for the Atlanta Braves, we discuss the concept of "Too Little Too Late". I focus on the value of still playing well despite being eliminated from the hope of a playoff run.

We also shine a light on our pitching situation, and while not IDEAL, it's still working out. Our offense is playing better and more consistently, we are making miracles happen with this island of misfit toys of a starting rotation we have, and we need to enjoy that it's working, at least for now!

We have another matchup with division rival New York Mets coming up, and we need to stay positive as we prepare for the quickly approaching end of the season.

Rubbin' is Racin', Boys!

The Braves had another exceptionally lackluster week overall, with a total nothing burger at the trade deadline. However, there was a little fun to be had at Bristol Motor Speedway as the Atlanta Braves won the Speedway Classic and Eli White built out more of his Atlanta Braves lore.

When your grandchildren ask, Where were you when Eli White hit two taters at Bristol Motor Speedway?.... What will you say?

I try not to rant too much about the lack of movement at the trade deadline, and I talk a lot about Bristol. I'd like to hear your opinions on that too, and we'll discuss it further next week! Thanks for listening!

On this week's episode of the Brave Little Homer Podcast, I have officially called it. The Braves are done for 2025 and must find ways to ease the pain as they transition into 2026. With officially their entire opening day rotation on the IL, there is little space to go upwards now.

I discuss who is on the chopping block for me ahead of Thursday's 6:00 p.m. MLB trade deadline and who will stay. While my opinion is that the Braves' needs will not immediately be met, and instead addressed in the off-season, it's still fun to hope, right?
