About this listen

Owen is joined by Jake Nielsen co-owner of Lint, a vintage clothing store in Corvallis, Oregon. To most people the word "trash" means a waste product or something that's reached the end of its usable life. Jake capitalizes on this when he goes dumpster diving. Used clothing is also sourced from estate sales, storage shed clean outs, and an assortment of other ways that Jake calls "picking". Though still very young he's had a wide array of jobs, few of which relate to his English degree that he plans to use to teach. In the meantime, he's become an entrepreneur operating in the fascinating world of the secondhand market. Listen to Jake and Owen go into detail about how this world works, and the philosophy of a non-traditional career.FIND Jake
