About this listen

Within every man lies a profound duality: the False Self and the True Self. The False Self is born of fear, insecurity, and ego—shaped by the world’s fleeting promises and driven by false beliefs. It craves validation, seeks the easy path, and clings to illusions of control and comfort. Like a hungry beast, it demands to be fed with instant gratification, pride, and indulgence in things that dull the spirit and weaken the soul. When fed, it festers, trapping a man in cycles of self-centeredness, anxiety, and shame. But there is a deeper self, the True Self, crafted in the image of God—the man who knows who he is because he knows whose he is. This man seeks not validation from the world but from his Creator. He desires truth, discipline, and connection to the eternal. The True Self is humble, yet confident in Christ; strong, yet tender in love. It is only fed through surrender—through daily communion with God, the pursuit of wisdom, the embrace of responsibility, and the refusal to bow to lesser desires. This battle rages within every man, but the choice lies in his hands: feed the False Self and be consumed by the empty promises of the world, or feed the True Self and step into the fullness of godly manhood, where strength, purpose, and joy abound. The one you feed will become the one you follow.
