About this listen

A book club can give you an opportunity to wax poetic about high literature, but this is not that kind of podcast. Each episode, hosts Lindsey and Stephanie will discuss the cringe-worthy dialogue, confusing characters, and questionable plot twists that have made them impossible to forget. • Verity, a Verified Disaster
    May 21 2025

Verity is a story of all antagonists, plus a female main character who seems to be allergic to good choices and healthy boundaries. We wouldn't say we enjoyed reading it, but we sure loved talking about all the parts that baffled us!

  • Sterling Heat: Too Hot to Handle
    Apr 15 2025
She’s got a bun in the oven and this baker needs to check her temperature…if you know what we mean. Book one of what promises to be an outstanding series, Sterling Heat definitely delivers. Sebastian and Enya just want to eat each other up in this steamy romance from L.B. Dunbar. Okay, we’re done with the word play now, just listen.

    Mar 14 2025

What’s better than sexy vampires? Frankly, nearly anything besides this book, which is chock full of the worst “intimate” scenes, offensive language, a meandering plot, and callbacks to the worst parts of the 90s. It’s hard to get your hands on a copy these days, and that’s probably for the best. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
