  • Breathe. Believe. Become with Author Farah Bernier
    Jan 12 2026

What's up y'all! It's your favorite author here, The Author Queen, and we are BACK with the premiere episode of Season 6!

I'm sitting down with Farah Bernier, bestselling author of Joy Manifesto: A Love Letter to Self. Farah is an executive in talent and leadership strategy, a coach, and someone who refuses to make herself smaller for anyone's comfort. This conversation is about to change the way you think about joy and what it means to live unapologetically.

For nearly 10 years, Farah kept a manifesto she wrote for herself—38 declarations she spoke every morning. It started with five lines on a plane to California in 2016 and became the thing that held her together through every hard season and transition.

She never planned to share it. This was private, between her and God.

Then the LA fires came in January 2025. Her home burned. Everything she owned—gone. But when she went back to see what was left, the back patio where she'd been saying her manifesto every morning stood completely intact. Right then, she knew it was time to let other people see it.

We talk about what it takes to choose differently when everything around you is falling apart. How to stop apologizing for who you are in rooms that expect less from you. Why Farah believes that no candle loses its light by lighting another. We also get into the story with her illustrator that brought back something she thought was lost forever.

Farah is building wealth, leading teams, and coaching women who are done playing safe. She knows what it costs to show up fully, and she's willing to tell you the truth about it.

If you're in a hard season, building something that matters, or just tired of shrinking yourself, this conversation will meet you where you are.

  • Praying with Purpose: Nafeesah Leverett's Journey to Authentic Faith
    Mar 16 2025

In this powerful episode, host The Author Queen welcomes author and speaker Nafeesah Leverett, whose journey from depression and suicidal thoughts to spiritual rebirth offers hope to women struggling with their faith. Nafeesah candidly shares how she survived relationships, battled depression and WON, and ultimately found healing through honest, purposeful prayer.

The conversation centers around Nafeesah's devotional prayer journal Pray on Purpose, which emerged from her own practice of journaling as a way to communicate authentically with God. She explains how journaling became the way through which God spoke to her when she couldn't hear Him elsewhere, and how this experience shaped her mission to help other women rebuild their relationships with God.

With remarkable vulnerability, Nafeesah discusses her past struggles, including abortion and her ongoing journey of self-forgiveness. She emphasizes that God isn't intimidated by our mess and reveals how her unexpected academic journey—going from a 2.0 GPA to earning a master's degree with a 3.5—demonstrated God's power to transform seemingly impossible situations.

This episode offers encouragement for anyone seeking to move beyond routine prayers to develop a more intentional, honest spiritual practice. Nafeesah's core message resonates throughout: you are loved, you are worthy, and you are forgiven.

Guest: Nafeesah Leverett (Author of Pray on Purpose)
